Edward Reynolds Pease (23 December 1857 - 5 January 1955) was an English writer and a founding member of the Fabian Society.
Pease, the sixth of fifteen children, was born near Bristol, the son of devout Quakers, Thomas Pease (1816-1884) and Susan Ann Fry (1829-1917) sister of Edward Fry, the judge.
In 1890 Pease was appointed secretary of the Fabian Society.

Captain Peter Pease was a sailor from boyhood, and in 1762, was the whaling master of the sloop Susanna on a voyage to the capes of Virginia.

Pease, Frederick S. An Account of the Descendants of John Pease, Who Landed at Martha's Vineyard in the Year 1632 [sic], (Albany, 1847), which was followed by his "The Pease Family" in the NEHGR Volume 3 (1849).
As the title indicates, the early history of the Pease brothers in America is weak and confuses John Pease of Martha's Vineyard with his nephew John.
William Pease reports that he located this in the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library in Buffalo (July, 1998) There is no doubt a connection to the Peter Stearns book above, perhaps a first edition or a work continued by a relative.

Richard Beel Reynolds died at Wilberforce on 26th August 1837, and was buried in the St.Johns Burial Ground on the 29th.
