Topic: Edward Rowlands

Ted Rowlands - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Edward "Ted" Rowlands, Baron Rowlands is a politician in Wales.
Rowlands was criticised for revealing this intelligence source, as the likely result of his disclosure was that the Argentinian's would secure their systems and the intelligence would dry up.
In June 2004 he was given a life peerage, as Baron Rowlands, of Merthyr Tydfil and of Rhymney in the County of Mid-Glamorgan.

Rowlands said he hopes the wireless services can be fully operational within a year or two of the landline service being launched.
Rowlands said the existing 911 center in the Adams County Courthouse is too small, and the backup center -- located in a tiny building on Broadway owned by SBC/Ameritech -- is inadequate and too close to the primary communication center.
Rowlands said the balance is expected to come primarily from the wireless surcharge, which is expected to generate about $14,000 a month until it expires in April 2008.

Rowlands said a central question is whether the agency should build something new, buy an existing facility, lease space or work jointly with another public entity that's also looking at acquiring a facility.
Rowlands said resolving the location of the 911 center and backup facility is a key first step in the organization's ongoing efforts to establish an enhanced 911 emergency telephone system in Adams County.

Interview - Gena Rowlands for "The Skeleton Key"
New Orleans, LA Gena Rowlands is a true survivor, from her heyday working with husband John Cassavetes at a time when independent film was not as 'hip' as it is today.
The excellent response to her performance as the deaf-mute wife of a detective on the 1961 TV series 87th Precinct sparked a grass-roots campaign to have Rowlands appear on the series on a weekly basis, but her film commitments were such that she couldn't be confined to any one part for very long.
Rowlands recently won acclaim for her work with James Garner in Nick Cassavetes' The Notebook, and now, in The Skeleton Key, Rowlands gives a delicious performance as a woman looking after her stroke-disabled husband, who may not quite be who she appears to be.
