Edward Schooled (wife of Wisconsin Governor Edward Schooled, both of Oconto County) gave reception at the executive residence in Madison yesterday afternoon which was one of the most elaborate affairs of the season.
Major Edward Scofield, whose name, in connection with the lumbering interests and progressive enterprises of northern Wisconsin, is “familiar as household words,” is a native of Pennsylvania, born March 28, 1842, at Clearfield, Clearfield county.
Scofield was the son of the late Edward Scofield, Governor of Wisconsin from 1897 to 1901.
