Hi, I was a bit surprised by your stub article Efficient learning method.
Perhaps they do use "alternatives to textbooks", but how efficient it ends up we do not really know, and judging by the word on the street about distance education, it probably is not as great as they make it out to be.
Hi, I just came across your article on Efficient learning method and decided to write to you about it, not knowing that someone else had already done the same.

Learning is the process of acquiring knowledge, skills, attitudes, or values, through study, experience, or teaching, that causes a change of behavior that is persistent, measurable, and specified or allows an individual to formulate a new mental construct or revise a prior mental construct (conceptual knowledge such as attitudes or values).
Child's play is another method for learning by the example of other children, who naturally gain satisfaction by playing the role of teacher or mentor to a less-experienced child.
Learning by teaching, is a method of teaching which allows teachers to share the new lesson contents and let little groups prepare their part in order to teach this contents to the rest of the class.

 Learning
Used in supervised learning, a training set is a set of problem instances (described as a set of properties and their values), together with a classification of the instance.
Learning in which the data structure is a set of nodes connected by weighted links, each node passing a 0 or 1 to other links depending on whether a function of its inputs reaches its activation level.
The reason reinforcement learning is harder than supervised learning is that the agent is never told what the right action is, only whether it is doing well or poorly, and in some cases (such as chess) it may only receive feedback after a long string of actions.

For example, in the access-control queuing example described in the previous section, a more efficient learning method could be obtained by breaking the environment's dynamics into the immediate effect of the action, which is deterministic and completely known, and the unknown random processes having to do with the arrival and departure of customers.
Learning an after-state value function over the after states would enable all actions which produced the same number of free servers to share experience.
For example, after-state methods are still aptly described in terms of generalized policy iteration, with a policy and (after-state) value function interacting in essentially the same way.

Efficient learning method - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Efficient learning method is a type of teaching developed to transfer knowledge, understanding and information to students as efficiently as possible, using information technology tools.
It typically employs alternatives to traditional teaching methods such as textbooks and classrooms, by using interactive and distance education techniques together with audio-visual media.

 Introduction
Because the learning method is statistically based, support vector machines are a fast, efficient method of machine learning.
The support vector machine training method finds the hyperplane that separates the two classes by the widest margin possible while minimizing the number of instances of each class that are grouped with the opposite class.
The prediction method uses the training set and the model created by the training method to predict the class of each vector in the testing set.

Existing visual learning systems, such as object recognition, work in “fl box” manner, in which each object instance is assigned a unique label in training and the learning is to find a classifier to discriminate between the objects with different labels according to the extracted feature vectors.
The method could provide users with the suggested group indices for each new story based on the existing collection of the stories in the database; meanwhile, the user could interact with the computer via the developed interface to confirm or modify the label suggestions provided by the computer.
This method effectively solves two problems inherent in landmark-based shape deformation: (a) identification of landmark points from a given input image, and (b) regularized deformation of the shape of an object defined in a template.

The successful application of learning style theories and derived instructional strategies in traditional classroom environments [4], [30], [34] stimulated the idea of using an adaptive computer environment to achieve similar effective learning outcomes in a computer-based learning scenario.
James and Blank [27] define a learning style as ‘the complex manner in which, and the conditions under which, learners most efficiently and most effectively perceive, process, store and recall what they are attempting to learn.’ (p.
Whilst there is almost unanimity amongst educational theorists on the existence of learning styles, there is still disagreement on whether the existing learning style should be matched by instructional methods or whether the learner should be encouraged to adopt a different, more efficient style [50].
