While evidence was not found of a significant population in the immediate pre-Roman period, the Roman geographer Ptolemy recorded the tribe in the area as the Selgovae, and Eildon hill was later thought to have been their capital.
In the 1st century the Roman army built the massive fort of Trimontium, named after the three peaks, at the foot of the hill on the bank of the River Tweed.

The veiw on the way there is worth the travel, i think, Huge trees, farming lands and many many Australian plants, that are pretty well known.
I also have 5 other guy friends up there, that treat me like one of the guys, and most the time they forget i am sitting there when they are checking out the other girls, sadly mostly girls i know.
There are many more, My ex included but the list goes on and on, and the problem with eildon is it is only a holiday thing, i am not going this holiday i refuse.
