	BuWe 2000 - EIRENE
		Die Kommission unter Leitung von Richard von Weizsäcker hatte die mittelfristige personelle Reduzierung um 80.000 auf 240.000 Soldaten und die Verringerung der Anzahl der Wehrpflichtigen auf lediglich 30.000 angesichts der veränderten geopolitischen Situation vorgeschlagen.
		EIRENE begrüßt die Vorschläge der Wehrstrukturkommission grundsätzlich, widerspricht aber deutlich der Forderung, die Krisenreaktionskräfte der Bundeswehr technisch und personell auszubauen, um zukünftig in Kriegs- und Krisenschauplätzen auch außerhalb der Bündnisstaaten militärisch intervenieren zu können.
		EIRENE setzt auch in Zukunft auf den Ausbau dieser positiven Beispiele und fordert eine deutliche Unterstützung solcher und ähnlicher Initiativen über ein entsprechendes Freiwilligengesetz.
