Topic: Eitr

Australian Parliamentary Library - 1996-97 Research Note 17
In particular, an EITR might be an effective way of relieving the financial burden of compulsory superannuation payments on the after-tax incomes of low-wage workers in Australia and also of increasing the incentive to work for those now without jobs.
An EITR might also be useful in passing on more of these costs, or in generally lowering labour costs by allowing lower gross wages and thus in helping to encourage higher employment growth.
The EITR's eligibility test on unearned income would probably need to be reasonably strict, otherwise these tax benefits would begin to lose their 'earned' character by allowing increasing numbers of those with substantial assets into the scheme.

Eitr - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This liquid substance is the origin of all living things, the first giant Ymir was conceived from eitr.
The substance is supposed to be very poisonous and is also produced by Jörmungandr (the Midgard serpent) and other serpents.
The last line of the stanza in Vafþrúðnismál where Vafþrúðnir says "that is why we are easily angered", is a word-play with the meaning of the word eitr, as it also means anger/angry (similar to "poison a relationship").

 Top Literature - Ymir
Opposite of Niflheim was the southern region known as Muspelheim, which contained bright sparks and glowing embers.
Ymir was conceived in Ginnungagap when the ice of Niflheim met with Muspelheim's heat and melted, releasing "eliwaves" and drops of eitr.
The eitr drops stuck together and formed a giant of rime frost (a hrimthurs) between the two worlds and the sparks from Muspelheim gave him life.

Most notably since the beginning of this year are the Combined Western Region Exploratory (CWRE) Study and the Eastern Iowa Transmission Reliability (EITR) Study.
The goal of the EITR study is to identify the reliability concerns about the known stressful power flow patterns and consider load growth in 5 and 10 years.
It will also identify the potential needs for bulk transmission (>100kV) projects that will support the underlining system, resolve the reliability concerns in long term planning and resolve the short-term operation issues that have been seen.
