Super 8 EKTACHROME 64T motion picture film exposed in old cameras - Super8wiki
enlarge the cartridge notch so camera thinks it is 160 ASA, (if Ektachrome 64 cartridges are recycled, will making the notch bigger render the cartridge less recyclable???) and on a non-TTL exposure meter cover the exposure meter (but not the taking lens) with a ND 0.4 filter.
Make the EK 64T notch 0.2 inches larger such that the bottom edge is 0.5 inch from the center of the cartridge.
If the camera reads the notch as 40ASA, use a ND 0.2 neutral density filter on the lens.

Ektachrome IR   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
It is desirable to have a visual color guide as an aid in interpretation of false colors of typical soil and rock samples, since predicted color shifts for monochromatic colors are not an adequate basis for the prediction of the complex colors of natural objects.
As an example, a yellow appearing soil (on Ektachrome Infrared) may be indicative of one that is red or light tan in color.
The color shift with exposure can be so severe with Ektachrome Infrared film, that when exposed properly for shadow and highlight detail, there is little difference in color between identical moist and dry soils photographed separately.

differences between Ektachrome and Kodachrome   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
There are many differences between Ektachrome and Kodachrome and since the focus of your question is not quite clear to me, I'll try to cover all bases.
Ektachrome produces less saturated and more pastel colors while Kodachrome has always been praised and criticized for deep color saturation, its ability to render brilliant reds, bright yellows and deep blues.
For many years, Kodachrome was the industry standard against which all other slide films were compared - At one time there were many ad agencies which refused to use slides shot on anything but Kodachrome.

Kodak Ektachrome E100VS (VS stands for Vivid Saturation) is among the new films I have tried for the past 9 months making photographs ranging from landscapes to portraits.
Ektachrome E100VS is also excellent for a one-stop push, when needed.
Therefore, Ektachrome E100VS is not likely the film of choice I would bring with me for my photographic adventure, unless I have a specific assignment for it.

The Kodak Ektachrome Professional E200 (200 ASA) slide film you mentioned is somewhat grainy in comparison (granularity index of 12), while the Ektachrome 100S is about 10 and the FUJI Provia 100F is currently the best on the market at 8.
The Kodak Ektachrome films tend to have "cooler" color spectra favoring blue/green hues, while the FUJI products are just the opposite, with a bias towards the warmer yellow/red spectrum.
Actually, any of the FUJI or Ektachrome films will work well in caves and I’d recommend that you shoot a roll or two of each to get a feel for their color palette, contrast, and overall response.

Ektachrome VNF 7240 film will index in most Super 8mm cameras to ASA 160, which is 22% higher than the actual ASA of 125, or approximately 1/4th of an F-Stop....not enought to worry about that much.
For indoor available light filming I highly recommend a good XL (existing light) Super 8mm camera, and/or bounce a movie light off a white ceiling or projection screen if you don't have a white ceiling.....as this will give you some more pull in your exposures as far as correct illumination goes.
This filmstock is not an exact match for the former Ektachrome 160, but it was the only thing Kodak currently makes to fit the need.
