		El Dorado County is a county located in the Gold Country of the U.S. state of California, in the Sierra Nevada.
		The county derives its name from "El Dorado" -- the far-famed fabulous region of genial clime and never-fading verdure, where gold and precious stones are as common as rocks and pebbles, where wines gently flow from fountains.
		In the county the population is spread out with 26.10% under the age of 18, 6.80% from 18 to 24, 27.80% from 25 to 44, 26.90% from 45 to 64, and 12.40% who are 65 years of age or older.
