California 133 is only a freeway briefly south of Interstate 405 before it becomes a rural, two-lane highway (with lots and lots of cars!).
California 55 is a southwest-northeast freeway that travels from Newport Beach and Costa Mesa northeast to Orange and Anaheim via Santa Ana.
California 39 is a major thoroughfare here, with six lanes of near-expressway connecting the coast/Huntington Beach with central Orange County.

Manhattan Beach really has no crime, which makes it all the more comical when people make such a big deal out of what little the city has.
It slays me that parents are actually considering paying in for a private school in Manhattan Beach when their children already enjoy one of the best learning opportunities in the state, if not the nation.
While Manhattan Beach residents have a long way to go in terms of their appreciation and support for the arts, we have to tip our hat to the city's efforts to try and bring some vestige of culture to its community.

After lots of calls from residents and local officials, a Southern California Edison spokesperson appeared at the Dec. 19 City Council meeting, confirming that one of the outages had lasted up to four hours and that Southern California Edison was working on upgrading the equipment.
Before the City Council meeting, Manhattan Beach city officials said they were aware of the problem and had spoken with Southern California Edison officials to try and learn more about the power outages, said Neil Miller, director of Public Works.
Another power outage in the El Porto area also occurred recently, however Gobble said that it was unrelated to the power problems in the tree section.
