The Bow River is a river in the Canadian province of Alberta.
The Elbow continues under Highway 22, although during the flood of June 2005 it was overtopping the highway, and then travels through the town of Elbow Springs directly west of Calgary.
The River then continues through the foothills still as a small river and flows into the town of Bragg Creek.
Before reaching the Calgary city limits, the ElbowRiver runs through the Tsuu T'ina Nation 145 Indian reserve.
At the Weaselhead Flats, just inside the city of Calgary, the ElbowRiver flows into the Glenmore Reservoir, Calgary's chief source of drinking water.
