Elde's research is focused primarily on the trafficking of opioid receptors and their endogenous peptides.
In addition to Dr. Elde's work in the study of the cell biology of opioid receptors and ligands that ameliorate pain, he has done extensive work in the localization of various ion channels involved in the transmission of painful stimuli.
Opioids intrinsically inhibit the genesis of mouse cerebellar granule neuron precursors in vitro: differential impact of mu and delta receptor activation on proliferation and neurite elongation.

Elde Island has had *many* wars with the Empire, and most people don't bother to give them distinctive names or numbers, thus making them easy to confuse.
Elde and Greenaere have had a (several?) wars, but "haven't actually fought since before the Interregnum" (P 94).
Elde has never in "recorded history" tried to invade the mainland, at least prior to the Interregnum (SL 40).

Robert Eugene Elde, 65, of Boone, was scheduled for trial this week on a charge of second-degree sexual abuse, but last week he waived his right to have a trial within 90 days.
Elde was arrested in September on charges that he had sexual contact with an 8-year-old boy on several occasions between June and August 2000.
Elde was released from custody on bond and ordered not to have contact with anyone under the age of 14.

National rankings of the University's core disciplines in biology have dropped into the 30s, and Dean Robert Elde of the College of Biological Sciences (CBS) says he and other deans are convinced that's because the disciplines are fragmented.
Elde draws an analogy with the Gopher men's basketball team that went to the Final Four last year.
Elde's son is applying for graduate school in genetics, and he has found the process instructive.

Ironwood is touted as being five times harder than cedar, and the supplies for the 209-foot bridge had to be special-ordered out of Milwaukee for about $25,000.
Elde said he wanted to give credit to parks workers Casey Troy and Aaron Heyer, who have worked on the project through some terrible weather, standing in the pond in hip waders for much of it.

Bob Elde, College of Biological Sciences dean, said he hopes that in less than a year, a building where beginning biotechnology companies can rent laboratory space will be turning out the next generation of Earl Bakkens.
Elde, who said he has been interested in developing the laboratory building for years, began raising money for the project through the nonprofit University Enterprise Laboratories, founded about one year ago.
When the building is fully operational, 30 beginning firms will be able to use the facility at one time, Elde said.

Elde received an honorary Doctor of Medicine degree from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1996 for his pioneering localizations of opioid peptides and their receptors in various neuronal circuits and the localization of ATP-gated ion channels.

On the 15th March [1962], a proclamation against the lnternationale Situationniste [SI] was published in Sweden by Ansgar Elde and Jorgen Nash, former members of the Conseil Central [Central Council].
Under the shelter of the SI, these conspirators who have so suddenly shown their hands, tried to support a number of collectors with the aid of the recently repelled fraction which was excluded from the German section at the Paris conference of the Conseil Central on the 10th February.
On the 10th of February, at the latest Paris conference of the Conseil Central (which numbered seven members according to resolution at the 5th SI congress) the exclusion of the Prem-Kunzelmann fraction was passed by 5 votes to 1, Ansgar Elde being absent.

It crosses the country from the north-east to the south-west, with a fall of 49 metres, and has been the subject of considerations to create a waterway linking the Baltic Sea and the Elbe River since the 14th century.
The drifting dunes near Klein Schmoelen can be seen from the distance as they reach a height of 28 metres, rising across the Loecknitz and Elde valley.
These sand dunes are not wooded in their upper third and therefore, exposed to the wind, ready to drift away at any time.

Because it has been found that those who choose to pursue careers in science were often inspired by a high school or middle school teacher, Elde said the university wanted to do more to turn out inspiring teachers who get kids excited about science—especially in the rural areas of the state.
