It would be a shame if Kenya went the way of Zimbabwe (or a myriad of other nations that have fallen prey to the rule of despots and madmen) because Kenya is one of the few nations that has a real chance.
Kenya has in place everything it needs to become a regional power (it already is a regional power, but i mean in from now on in absolute terms instead of merely in relative terms).
And i am sure it would benefit the rest of the world if Kenya distanced itself from the perils that abound unabated in Africa (for example Kenya is a close partner of the US and Britain, especially the former....and its relations with Israel are extremely strong due to joint collaboration that started from the 70s).
