Electro (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Electro is the name of several fictional comic book characters in the Marvel Comics universe, including two from Marvel's predecessors, Timely Comics and Atlas Comics.
Electro, in an effort to make a final grand gesture, Electro threw himself into the Hudson River while his body was highly charged, seemingly killing himself in an explosion.
Marvel's next Electro was a Communist supervillain created during the unsuccessful attempt by Marvel's 1950s predecessor, Atlas Comics, to revive superheroes in that decade.

 Electro
Electro's first and most frequent nemesis has been the wisecracking, web-slinging super hero known as Spider-Man. He also has battled the blind adventurer Daredevil, the star-spangled Super-Soldier Captain America and the fabled Fantastic Four.
Electro's extended string of ignominious defeats nearly came to an end when the world-weary villain, hungry for respect, attempted to deprive the entire city of power by drawing it into his body.
At 10 feet, his maximum charge is more than enough to kill a normal man. Electro is able to emit lightning arcs from his fingertips at speeds of up to 1,100 feet per second, achieving a maximum distance of about 100 feet.

Electro Group: Ummo - PopMatters Music Review
Electro Group bills itself as "noise-pop", and it bases its sound on plenty of reverb and intense drumming.
Electro Group could provide some further sonic exploration here, as they surely must in a live setting.
Technically, the drumming is the most complex and interesting individual element, but Electro Group has that second word in its band name because their sound really is about fitting the pieces together.

Cap threw the switch and Electro, caught in the increased downflow of the water, was electrocuted.
Crusher's comments: Electro's most frightful feature is not his green skin, glowing eyes, or ability to shoot electrical bolts from his hands, but what must be the most enormous and hairy exposed pot-belly ever to be sported by a super-villain.

Sure, "Marvel's Greatest Comics" reprinted old Lee and Kirby Fantastic Four yarns, but by the time I was buying comics they were well into printing the later issues.
And then DC introduced their 100-page super spectaculars, which featured classic stories culled from their colorful comics of old in them and Marvel started up a line of Giant-Sized 52-page specials and suddenly I was able to get a gander at a lot of damned cool comics that I never would have seen otherwise.
