Integrated microchannel print head for electrographic printer - Patent 6037957
The electrographic printing apparatus claimed in claim 1, wherein the driver circuitry and logic and control means are separate integrated circuits that are attached to the back of the substrate.
In electrographic printers utilizing a plurality of transfer electrodes, such as printers with wide-format print heads for fast writing speeds or high resolution print heads for high image quality, a large number of transfer electrodes, interconnects, and voltage sources are required.
Thus, there is clearly a need for an electrographic print head that incorporates a large number of transfer electrodes and their associated interconnects and drive electronics in a cost-effective, compact, and manufacturable manner that does not force compromises in system design.

 Indian Pediatrics - Editorial
The observation that dramatic clinical movements may or may not be associated with electrographic seizure activity raises the possibility that not all seizures are accom-panied by EEG correlates.
In view of the number of neonates that did not show clinical correlates of electrographic seizures and the difficulty associated with the clinical identification of some seizures, they suggested that EEG is essential to diagnose seizures and to monitor the effect of treatment.
It is, therefore, important that a definition for electrographic seizure should be explicit and easily applied and be generally accepted by the EEG community.

 Neonatal Seizures
Given that neonates have frequent subclinical electrographic seizures, there is some controversy as to how the effect of the antiepileptic drug should be titrated.
Furthermore, to completely suppress all electrographic seizure activity in some babies may require extremely high doses of multiple antiepileptic drugs, resulting in making the baby deeply comatose and risking serious systemic side effects.
The decision on how aggressive to be in treating electrographic seizures in neonates will depend on multiple considerations, such as the underlying etiology, predicted prognosis, and other systemic factors.

AES: Acute Responsive Stimulation is Promising in the Detection and Disabling of Imminent Seizures   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-16)
Electrographic activity was reviewed in stored electroencephalographs before and after automated responsive stimulation.
In all, 3,379 brief-duration bursts of responsive stimulation were delivered during the course of the study, which was a mean of 31 hours.
Although the data are preliminary and the study was limited by surgery-scheduling constraints, researchers concluded that once optimal parameter adjustments have been determined, eRNS through implanted devices may prove beneficial in preventing seizures or at least in reducing seizure frequency.

 Introduction
EEG recordings are very useful for characterizing neonatal seizures with electrographic and clinical features that are temporally correlated (electroclinical seizures).
Recent investigations using this technique have confirmed that the majority of neonatal seizures are either electroclinical (electrographic and clinical features that are temporally linked) or clinical only (clinical features with no consistent electrographic correlate) in character (Mizrahi and Kellaway, 1987).
This observation contrasts with the fact that the majority of seizures in the newborn are clinically expressed, either with or without an electrographic signature.

The role of the EEG technologist is particularly important in these patients to aid in recognizing and minimizing artifact, to enhance communication between electroencephalographers and clinicians, to assess the effect of alerting stimuli, and to note possible subtle clinical correlates of electrographic seizures.
Litt et al[18] defined electrographic seizures as distinct discharges that evolve over time with a change in the frequency, amplitude, and distribution and described three EEG patterns of electrographic SE: focal, [Figure - 1] generalized, and bihemispheric.
[11] The present evidence suggests that electrographic burst suppression is superior to the control of clinical and electrographic seizures activity.

Lowering extracellular Mg2+ concentration in control slices induced epileptiform activity consisting of spontaneous epileptiform bursts in area CA3, and of electrographic seizures in the EC.
The electrographic seizures which were absent in controls propagated from the EC because disconnecting the HC from the EC stopped their occurrence in the CA3 while epileptiform bursts persisted with an unaltered pattern and frequency.
Thus, the area CA3 is affected by kindling and contributes to the spread of epileptiform activity within the EC-HC complex.

The interval between injections varied from 22 to 60 minutes depending on the test and recovery time, as well as the time to catheterize the second side.
After noting a trend toward prolonged electrographic recovery following the second injection, we tested our clinical impression that recovery of the second hemisphere may be influenced by 1) the time between injections and 2) which hemisphere is injected first (epileptogenic or nonepileptogenic).
We found that 1) electrographic recovery after the second injection is prolonged if the interval between bilateral injections is less than 40 minutes and 2) electrographic recovery is more rapid after injection of the epileptogenic hemisphere.

In order to improve the quality of text and graphic printers in electrophotographic powder marking technologies, the resolution of the imaging subsystem has been increased and the diameter of toner particles has been decreased.

It is not clear, however, that this difference is an indication of cell assembly ignition; and even if it is, the difference would not be expected to apply selectively to high frequencies.
The differences do appear to be related to cognitive processing of words, rather than to their physical form, and, as might be expected, they emerge only in the hemisphere which has a predominant role in language.
Second, it is not clear that the gamma band changes, which are differential to the word/pseudoword stimuli, are actually related to the SPECIFIC cognitive processing of each individual word (i.e., to its meaning).
