Il mantello è stato invece realizzato in tessuto damasco a foglia di vite, precedente al disegno a melograno di epoca posteriore.

Eleonora d'Arborea è certamente la figura più nota della storia sarda, sia perché era un donna, sia perché rappresenta, ancora oggi, il simbolo di un'antica libertà perduta e dell'ultima forte resistenza al dominio straniero.
La fama di Eleonora è anche legata al completamento dell'opera legislativa iniziata da suo padre Mariano e raccolta in un codice di leggi noto come Carta de Logu.
