	Elevon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Elevons at the wing trailing edge are used for pitch and roll control of the F-117A Nighthawk (best seen by clicking on the picture).
		An elevon is an aircraft control surface that combines the functionality of the elevator (used for pitch control) and the aileron (used for roll control), hence its name.
		There will be one or more elevons on each side of the aircraft at the trailing edge of the wing.

		I think this is caused by the elevon on the inside of the turn getting even more reflexed while the outside elevon goes essentially to neutral (since it's reflexed to begin with), so all the elevon drag is on the inside wing, creating the cartwheel effect.
		I figured a solution would be differential elevon travel to reduce the throw of the inside (up-going) elevon relative to the outside one but.........
		I suspect that when the outer elevon approaches neutral the drag on that elevon disappears, thus the drag by the now-highly-deflected inner elevon results in a yaw imbalance.

		Specifically, the outboard forward corner of the elevon lower honeycomb outer face sheet was buckled and delaminated and had two small burn-through holes.
		The outboard elevon lower leading edge tile carrier panel was completely melted under the outboard tile and a hole was melted in the elevon cove primary seal support plate.

		For my Su27 ive just set it up as flaperons and mixed in flaps and ailerons to get the elevons working...i dont use dual rates for that plane so it wasnt a biggie.
		It is the depron GAD F14 and has elevon and swing wing only.
		So, i should select delta wing config (that gives me the elevon mixing, right?)...(what channels are they?), then use the flap channel for wing positioning via the flap switch..then use the dual rates as normal?
