		Unfortunately Elfen Lied is one of the few, i can think of three or four that i can't find anything to even nit pick at.
		Elfen Lied would be the perfect horror anime series, if only it was content to be a horror series.
		Elfen means mystical and otherworldly, and Lied means an old dramatic song.

		Elfen Lied doesn't excel in story or characters, but it does have a nice presentation and animation that makes it better than other series out there.

		This anime is incredibly violent, and within the first five to ten minutes, viewers are introduced to Lucy as she turns a tough group of security officers in a secret organization into a lump of corpses in a slaughterhouse.
		I don't mind the fact that Elfen Lied tries to shift the emphasis from action/violence to character relationships, but the fact of the matter is this: the violence is so far over the top and that the character drama is just a bit too sappy.
