The malpractice suit that Andrews filed against New York's Mount Sinai Hospital was privately settled in 2000, but when she filed the suit, she spoke of the "devastating blow" she had suffered in losing much of her singing voice.
Andrews says she remains hopeful that she will recover some of her voice, and she has been seeing a team of Boston doctors who are doing pioneering research on voice restoration and laser surgery.
Andrews is also trying to complete an autobiography that she says is two years overdue at the publishers.

His views are far too complicated for me to go into in any real depth here but just to say his basic idea is that the reformation in England unleashed the forces of social disintegration that led to the challenge of traditional Monarchy.
Belloc holds Elizabeth I in very low regard as show in these pasages: "She was a warped, frustrated woman, sensitive to the accusation of bastardy under she suffered in the eyes of Christendom (for when her mother Anne Boleyn, the mistress of Henry VIII, gave birth to her, the King's legitimate wife was alive)..."

Maybe what Andrew means is the degree of instinctive pro-American sentiment among the general population, which is fair comment.
But my Lord Kerry, Earl of Massachusetts, and Lord Edwards, Viscount of North Carolina, and their confreres, would be able to have debates like this one, recently held in our under-rated Upper House, in which Baroness Andrews fields some tough questioning on one of the most vital issues of our day.

Andrews is delightful and even fascinating as Maria, who sheds her tomboyish ways as a novice nun to accept the mantle of adulthood, becoming matron of the motherless von Trapp clan.
The film was shot in Austria and a lot was done to recreate the time frame of the story and the reality of the characters.
Julie Andrews and Chritopher Plummer are fabulous in their roles as Maria and Captain Von Trapp.
