 panopticist: Magazines
That said, she's presumably being brought into American Media to turn Star and possibly the National Enquirer, The Globe and Weekly World News into serious journalistic endeavors—inasmuch as they feasibly can be serious journalistic endeavors." Elizabeth concluded her post by suggesting that readers send in mockups of a smartened-up Star and an even-more-dumbed-down US Weekly.
In July 2003, soon after lowbrow genius Bonnie Fuller fled the editorship of US Weekly to become the editorial director of American Media, then-Gawker editor Elizabeth Spiers wrote, "I'm fully convinced that Fuller's ultimate goal at US was to make the magazine intelligible to the completely illiterate.
And if you're comfortable postulating the existence of a human being who keeps a permanent stash of landfill-destined celebrity magazines, I suppose you could also call it a collector's issue.

 Ironside - Series History
The series was seen as a training ground for many who subsequently went on to be household names- it is one of the few places one can watch a young Bruce Lee, David Cassidy and Harrison Ford all learning their craft.
Ironside moves into a specially-built office at police headquarters and inherits a top-quality team: Sgt. Ed Brown (Don Galloway), Policewoman Eve Whitfield (Barbara Anderson)(Anderson was replaced by Elizabeth Baur as Fran Belding from 1971-75), and ex-con Mark Sanger (Don Mitchell).
Ironside's cast iron reasoning, dogged determination and mental agility can now be enjoyed all over again thanks to this series of superb videos on Universal Playback.

 V
I enjoyed V the Mini Series and some of V the Final Battle, but what really jumped the shark for was when they changed Elizabeth from a baby to a six year old and then to a hot 20 year old in two years who competed with her mom for Kyle.
The TV series was a kiddie show, and a pretty stupid show at that.
The legacy of the two V mini-series was tarnished because of the ridiculous V The Series.

Amazon.co.uk: Simon Schama A History Of Britain - Part One: Video
Four years in the making, the series covers a vast territory, beginning with Stone Age-settlements and ending with the reign of Elizabeth I. Strangely, the viewer is never rushed: In each episode writer/presenter Schama pauses to delve into the given period--events and consequences, politics and personalities, motivations and misunderstandings.
It is Schama's dynamic storytelling that makes the series so compelling, his taking the time to describe what historical figures looked like as well as what they did, suggesting how they might have been perceived in their own time.
Not that Schama shies away from controversial interpretations--indeed, he was selected to present the series in order to push the boundaries of history-based television.

 REDD FOXX
Foxx appeared to be making a comeback with the 1991 series "The Royal Family" in which he co-starred with his long time friend Della Reese when a fatal heart attack felled him on the set.
Although he had a short lived variety show in 1977, he was back playing Fred Sanford in the early 1980's in a short lived series spin-off.
Ironically, one of Foxx's best-known comic bits on Sanford And Son was faking a heart attack and calling out to his deceased wife Elizabeth saying "this is the big one...I'm comin' to join ya honey".
