Often, in a Peter's novel, we are lulled into thinking that chaos is the rule, but 'Night Train to Memphis' shows a sure hand at the helm.
Elizabeth Peters is one of the best authors I have read any books from, ever.

I began collecting Elizabeth Peters First Editions because I had read my Amelia Peabody mysteries so many times, the paperbacks were wearing out.
I don't know how I came to first read them, but I expect the Egyptology theme, combined with the detective aspect, first attracted me. I traveled in my job at the time and spent hours in bookstores in strange cities buying reading materials for the hotel room and planes.
