Elliott Forbes-Robinson, a veteran road racing champion and former Mazda factory driver will join the duo of Jamie Bach and Guy Cosmo behind the wheel of the 3-rotor Mazda powered P2 machine for the 1,000-mile/10-hour jaunt.
Forbes-Robinson said he is very much looking forward to the chance to work with the new team and help it continue to transition some of the Mazda racing traditions.
To date, Bach and Cosmo sit third in the P2 point standings with five podium finishes, including the historic first win for Mazda in the ALMS, also at Mid-Ohio.

Although Dyson Racing has been one of the most successful North American sports car racing teams of the past 15 years, and provided cars that Elliott Forbes-Robinson drove to the inaugural American Le Mans Series driving title in 1999, the Sebring triumph was the team's first race win in ALMS competition.
Dyson started the season with a class win in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring with co-drivers Chad Block and Didier de Radigues.
The next night, at the series awards banquet, he was touched to learn that fans of the series had selected him as the 2003 recipient of the coveted "From the Fans" award, presented annually to the person or group making the greatest contributions to sports car racing.

The Legend car was designed by Howard Augustan “Humpy” Wheeler and Elliott Forbes-Robinson, and all Legend cars are manufactured by 600 Racing, which is based in Harrisburg, North Carolina.
Legend cars have a 73 in (1.85 m) wheelbase, a width of 60 in (1.52 m), a length of 10 ft 6 in (3.2 m) with bumpers, and a height of 46 in (1.17 m) and weights of 1,015 to 1,150 lb (460 to 522 kg).
Legend Car racing is a motorsport with 5/8-scale replicas of American automobiles from the 1930s and 1940s raced in NASCAR modified.

Renowned sports car racer Andy Wallace is the official Crawford test driver, but others taking turns behind the wheel today included Brule and racing veterans Butch Leitzinger and Elliott Forbes-Robinson.
Wallace, who has vast experience in many types of racing cars, noted that the Crawford is the first Daytona Prototype he's driven, and he was very impressed.
Wallace said he was satisfied with the testing progress thus far.
