Elliott See - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
See acted as backup Pilot for Gemini 5 and was in-line to fly as Prime Crew Pilot for Gemini 8 but was promoted to be the command pilot of Gemini 9.
The panel concluded that See was flying too low to the ground during his approach, probably as a result of the poor visibility.
NASA was keen for a civilian to be the Commander of the first moon landing and See along with Neil Armstrong would have been the only other civilian test pilot with space experience in the Astronaut pool had he lived.

Elliott Smith - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Elliott Smith (August 6, 1969 – October 21, 2003) was an American songwriter and musician from Portland, Oregon, who rose to prominence when his song "Miss Misery" from the Good Will Hunting soundtrack was nominated for an Oscar in the best original song category in 1998.
Elliott Smith was born Steven Paul Smith in Omaha, Nebraska.
[1] No one is quite sure why he chose "Elliott." Some speculate it came from a street name in Portland, some say it was the brainchild of his girlfriend at the time, and was the last name of her ex-boyfriend.

Some courts have qualified this rule on the assumption that the expenses were incurred at "the request of the insurer" and therefore came within the policy provision for reimbursement of the insured for reasonable expenses, or on the theory that since suit was brought by a third party, the insurer owes a duty to defend.
In Elliott, we clearly stated that the proper procedure for an insurance company to follow when coverage is disputed is to request a bifurcated trial on the issues of coverage and liability and move to stay any proceedings on liability until the issue of coverage is resolved.
We said in Elliott that "[i]ndemnification and defense for claims falling within the parameters of the insurance policy are the two primary benefits received by the insured from a contract of insurance." 169 Wis.2d at 321 (emphasis added).

 04-2154 -- Elliott v. May -- 12/20/2004
Elliott sued two bankruptcy trustees and a federal district court staff member for negligence in permitting his bankruptcy petition to be filed.
Elliott has not shown in either his complaint or his filings on appeal that defendants, who are private entities, were acting under "color of state law." Nor has Mr.
Elliott shown that defendants' denial of his request to refinance his home, which was allegedly based on discrimination against owners of single-wide manufactured homes, implicated rights protected by the Constitution or the laws of the United States.

Appellate waivers are subject to certain exceptions, including where the district court relied on an impermissible factor such as race, where ineffective assistance of counsel in connection with the negotiation of the waiver renders the waiver invalid, where the sentence exceeds the statutory maximum, or where the waiver is otherwise unlawful.
Elliott has never argued that he was misled by the district court's statement at sentencing to his detriment.
Indeed, Elliott could not have relied upon this statement when agreeing to waive his appellate rights because the waiver was negotiated and agreed to long before this erroneous remark was given by the court at the time of sentencing.

Elliott characterizes its approach to its investments as "activist." Thus, despite sometimes accepting the terms offered to other creditors, [*4] Elliott explains that it frequently engages in direct negotiations with the debtor and argues that, as a result, it has occasionally received a greater return than other creditors.
Elliott's suit was subsequently removed to federal district court pursuant to the Foreign Sovereign [*13] Immunities Act, 28 U.S.C. § 1441(d) (1994), where the district court denied Elliott's motion for prejudgment attachment on December 27, 1996, and its motion for summary judgment on April 29, 1997.
Elliott's suit was also "contingent" because, had the Debtors agreed to Elliott's request for the money that the district court found Elliott was owed under the Letter Agreements and the Guaranty, then there [*50] would have been no lawsuit.

Elliott has taken all his experiences and crafted them into a near-seamless series of songs about his typical subjects (drugs, relationships) and given them a newer, even more open canvas for them to be displayed upon.
Elliott shows his ability to craft simple songs with emotional heft, and well as unconventional rockers like "coast to Coast" and "King's Crossing" where the lyrics combined with the MUSIC have such an emotional heft you want to get up, go out, and crank up ya stereo.

The purpose of Elliott Wave International is to outline the progress of markets in terms of the Wave Principle and to educate interested parties in the successful application of the Wave Principle, often called the Elliott Wave Principle after its discoverer, R. Elliott.
While a reasonable course of conduct regarding investments may be formulated from such application, at no time will specific security recommendations or customized actionable advice be given, and at no time may a reader or caller be justified in inferring that any such advice is intended.

Elliott Elementary School End of Year Report 1996-97
Having proposed to continues its focus on parent involvement into 1996-97 (see 1996-97 Workplan, pages 4-6), with the beginning of the school year several HSC participants quickly realized that their commitments to the project were waning.
As recounted in the "workplan reduction" memo (see Appendix 1), project participants decided not to pursue this initiative during the 1995-96 school year, but instead to address literacy issues in the other projects they are involved in.
One possible reason for the latter is that the invitation to outreach sharing and communication, as defined in the 1995-98 proposal and as attempted during the past year, may have proved to be self defeating by virtue of the invitation being, in effect, content free, and thus possibly not sufficiently enticing for widespread uptake.
