Elmbridge has sent paddlers and coaches to the Olympic Games since the club began.
Elmbridge provided four out of the five kayak paddlers who represented Britain at the Sydney Olympics and are very proud that Tim Brabants, who won Britain's first ever sprint kayak medal there, a bronze in the 1000m, started his canoeing at Elmbridge as a ten year old.
It follows, therefore, that racing is an important feature of the club and we encourage all members to participate in as many different events as possible.

 Rother League Round 1 18th June 2005 Results
A squad of thirty three swimmers from Elmbridge Phoenix visited Hart Leisure Centre on Saturday night to compete in the first round of the Rother Leagues.
Elmbridge fielded a predominantly young team, but this proved to be no hindrance as the results were to show.
By the end of the evening Elmbridge managed to hold on to 2nd place from Hart by a mere three points, losing only to a strong team from Haslemere.

An Elmbridge teenager will appear at Youth Court this week charged with three counts of criminal damage in Walton last year.
Th 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with damaging a street sign owned by Elmbridge Housing Trust between 19th November and 3rd December, damaging a garage door between the same dates as well as a garden gate, also between the same dates.
Elmbridge Borough Inspector Craig Knight said: “This arrest was due to yet more good work by Walton Neighbourhood Specialist Officer Pc Mark Gamson which will hopefully reduce the levels of graffiti in the north Walton area.

 totaltennis.net - Elmbridge boy & girls reach finals of Surrey Youth Games
OVSC coach Karl Stowell managed a 9 and under and an 11 and under boys and girls team from Elmbridge to compete in the Surrey Youth Games held in June 2005.
After trials and training sessions held at OVSC, a team was picked to compete in the tennis event at the Surrey Youth Games this year.
Some great tennis was seen in both the 9 and under and 11 and under age groups, with the U11 boys and girls teams both reaching the final of the event - a result which contributed to Elmbridge winning the games overall.

Under 13 XI v Pennthorpe:- Elmbridge 62 for 7 (C.Ford 27); Pennthorpe 55 for 8 declared.
Elmbridge entered teams in the 11-13 years and 13-15 years groups, and did well to be placed second in the lower age group.

For it's inaugral production, Elmbridge Youth Theatre chose Sandy Wilson's classic 1920's set musical 'The Boyfriend' containing the hit songs 'It's nicer in Nice', 'It's never too late to fall in love' and of course the title song 'The Boyfriend'.
First presented at the Player's Theatre, London, in 1953, the show was an overnight success.
For their tenth major production, Elmbridge Youth Theatre presented an evenings selection from some of the major musicals of recent times including 'Les Miserables', 'Blood Brothers', 'Chicago', 'Sunset Boulevard', 'Miss Saigon' and 'Evita'.
