Although the internal struggle Elric is supposed to go through is extremely weak in my humble opinion, there's the interesting matter of him being the last in a great and powerful line of sorcerer emperors.

It was an all-out spoof of the fantasy genre in general, and of Elric in particular.
Up until this book, I had been reading the Elric novels because they are often held up as classics of the fantasy genre, and because my brother said they were good books.
The only good thing about it is the really short story about Elric, not the one with him at the end of time which is just strange and really lacks a plot other than resembling a DandD dungeon crawl.

This map is the same essentially as that presented in the White Wolf version of Elric: Song of the Black Sword and Elric: The Stealer of Souls, both by Michael Moorcock.
These maps are a bit more vague than the maps in the earlier editions which were produced from earlier maps for Avalon Hill's Elric war game.
The system is a little less in line with what Michael Moorcock portrays in the Elric saga, but tries to remain within its framework.
