  Elsa - Xenosaga Wiki
The Elsa von Brabant is a Lohengrin class high velocity interstellar cruiser that transports Shion Uzuki along with some of the other main characters of the Xenosaga series throughout the first and second Xenosaga games.
The captain of the Elsa crew is Matthews with his crew of Hammer the navigator, Tony the helmsman, chaos, who seems to be a jack of all trades, Professor the Professor of the onboard "Robot Academy", and Assistant Scott the assistant of the Professor.
In Xenosaga Episode III, it is revealed that the Elsa has an "overboost mode", in which ethereal wings sprout from the sides of the ship and allow it to move much faster than normal.

  Xenosaga - Review
I'll try to assist you, the reader, in deciding whether Xenosaga is for you, but keep in mind that opinions about the game differ greatly from person to person.
Tetsuya Takahashi, the writer/director of the famous RPG Xenogears, has now returned with his own company and a larger budget to tell what appears to be a heavily modified version of the original Xenogears timeline, spanning thousands of years, over the course of six games.
Xenosaga is the first PS2 game I bought, so I obviously found the visuals impressive.

In the first Xenosaga, each character had their own specific skill tree which defined their role — you could give a skill to another character though for a cost in points.
Xenosaga 2 has a feature similar to Final Fantasy X — you can swap characters during their turn to bring someone else into the battle.
In Xenosaga 2 there are two groups of status effects — L and H. Each group has several effects falling under it including things like poisoning and being weaker against certain attack types.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht was a very promising title that entered the RPG arena with a bang.
Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose is the second chapter of Monolithsoft's ambitious PlayStation2 space opera RPG series.
However, with Xenosaga, once you are in a dungeon or a city, there is very little room for the player to do anything else besides run through the focused area and complete the objective.

THEM Anime Reviews 4.0 - Xenosaga
Xenosaga the animation is another title I've been wanting for quite a while, ever since I saw the animations in the game from beginning to end.
Xenosaga: Der wille zur macht, a rather well known sci-fi RPG on the Playstation 2, has been jokingly referred to as more of a movie than a game thanks to its lenghty cutscenes rendered lovingly in 3D.
If Xenosaga has one saving grace, then that would be that the acting is generally quite good, with the exception of KOS-MOS' Japanese VA, who nearly shouts all her lines with a rather grating, monotonous voice.

Xenosaga III probably has more sad musical scores than the previous 2 games and it shows here due to the fact that this chapter has the most emotional event scenes around.

Xenosaga is a game by the same team that made Xenogears, but contrary to what most people believe, it is not a sequel or prequel to Xenogears at all.
The game that is currently known as Xenosaga: Episode 1, is actually the first part of a 6-part series that will encompass the entire Xenosaga story (or a bit part of it anyway).
Because the Xenosaga savegames take up relatively little space, it is advisable to keep a few save files of specific points in the game so that if for some reason you missed anything, you can always fall back on your old savegame.

Xenosaga II continues this trend though; some long cutscenes, a revamped yet still complex battle system, and an epic story that's so sci-fi, it could be on the Sci-Fi Channel.
A word of warning though; while Xenosaga I spent a lot of time fleshing out every character except chaos, Xenosaga II is squarely focused most of the time on Jr.

It is not known when in the Xenosaga timeline Xeno Komi occurs; all that is certain is it *seems* to occur sometime during Episode I when the Durandal is docked at the Kukai Foundation and the Elsa is docked with the Durandal, allowing characters to move freely between all three locations.

 Xenosaga Vs. Front Mission 4? | gamegrene.com
In Xenosaga (one of my favorite games of all time, with a sequel appearing this year or the next), the Durandal and Elsa were two of the primary ships.
Elsa - There are too many Elsas in legend and history to begin to recount, but it's fairly certain Xenosaga was referring to Wagner's opera "Lohengrin", which is about a girl named Elsa who is falsely accused of murdering her brother.
Of course, it's still suspicious to see Elsa and Durandal being referenced together in Front Mission 4 next to each other, since they don't have any other connection save being closely related in Xenosaga.
