		Elseworlds is the publication imprint for a group of comic books produced by DC Comics that take place outside the company's canon.

		The "Elseworlds 80-Page Giant" was to be an 80-page collection of Elseworlds stories, published by DC comics.
		However, around 2000 copies of the issue had already been shipped to the UK and quickly became a highly sought after collector's item.
		The story earned two Eisner Awards, however, and ironically became the only part of the Elseworlds Giant to be later republished, in the pages of Bizarro Comics.

		This Elseworlds was so good, it's been creeping into the regular continuity (via Starman and other James Robinson productions) ever since.
		The Titans Elseworlds is the original Elseworlds special.
		I haven't read that many Elseworlds, but I put Batman/Demon, Elseworld's Finest, and Elseworld's Finest: Supergirl and Batgirl on my things-to-buy-when-I-have-a-job-and-therefore-money-again list based on her reccomendations, and I think I'll add The Nail as well after this discussion.
