The second Discworld graphic novel, THE LIGHT FANTASTIC was originally published in the USA in four parts and here lies one of the weaknesses of the book: the artwork is slightly inconsistent as there were a number of artists involved in the process.
All the while time is running out for the Discworld, Rincewind is rapidly running out of people to save him from the latest catastrophe and the spell in his head definitely wants to be said, but the time is not right.
The plot of LORDS AND LADIES concerns the reappearance of elves on the Discworld.

Scumble helps the elves enter the land despite Jason's best efforts (I got another bottle cooling in the trough at the forge, eh, lads?).
The ending is happy, with Granny helping Magrat fight the queen, the Long Man (Three burial mounds, two round ones and a long one) reclaiming his queen, and with a wack-fol-a-diddle, too-roo-la-i-aaaaa, the queen is crowned and the scene is set for the next show...

posted October 18, 2001 09:12 AM I think a musical version of a discworld novel is a terrible idea, I hate musicals but that's just me. I think all the wizards should be played by british actors, all pompous and full of hot air.
From lots of different countries, england, america, germany, france, netherlands, china and so on to reflect the diversity of the discworld.
