Elvis Hammond - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Elvis Hammond (born October 10, 1980 in Accra, Ghana) is a Ghanaian-born English-representative striker who currently plays football for Leicester City in the English Coca-Cola Championship.
He is a product of the Fulham Academy and looked to have made his break into the first team towards the end of the 2002-2003 season, under Chris Coleman, only to have an injury put him out for the rest of that and the next season.
Hammond made his debut for Fulham September 19, 2000 against Chesterfield at the Recreation Ground.

Speaking of his late run in the side Hammond said: "It was great towards the end, the injuries at the beginning of the season meant that is was a slow start for me. I stuck to it and I think that I'm now reaping the rewards.
Elvis believes that an injury he sustained towards the beginning of the season might have actually adversely helped his progress towards the end.
The good news for both Fulham fans and Elvis alike is that he's been offered a new contract by the Club, and if the last few games of the season are anything to go by, he certainly features in the new manager's plans.
