Emeril Lagasse tapes his ever popular show Emeril Live over a one-week period approximately three times over a year.
Previously, Emeril was taping approximately 50 live shows a year, though word on the street is that he may be doing more live tapings in the 2007 -2008 season.
Because of the immense popularity of the Emeril Live show, the Food Network, the developers of Emeril's show, have a history of lack of information pertaining to his taping days and scheduling - its all kept a closely guarded secret to limit numbers to the dedicated few.

His goal with "Emeril Live" is to keep the audience and viewer "happy happy," as he likes to say, and they certainly seem to be if the live audience is any indication.
Emeril made his own sausage at one point in the segment, and an audience member called out that he was "practicing safe sausage." Always a good sport and a lover of the double entendre, Emeril continued to joke about the sausage-making process for the remainder of the show.

Emeril has done that, and frankly I'm impressed no matter how much you hate it, you still remember it and associate the "bam" with Emeril, weather you approve or not you still know his name and that is the whole point.
Emeril seems to be fighting the very concept of a script, spouting random, unordered instructions that are interspersed with factoids we know he couldn't have possible come up with on his own.
Emeril should be serving up plates of shark to his studio audience at each taping, because if ever a show has jumped, this is it.

Emeril isn't that interesting of a personality to begin with, his supporting cast was miscast and they kinda sucked as unit (was the casting agent hoping to find some sort of break-out talent in that bunch?
