| | Emerson, Lake and Powell Album Review (Classic Rock, 2001) (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-05) |
 | | Emerson, Lake and Palmer burst onto the scene in 1970 at the Isle of Wight festival. |
 | | Taking the album as a whole, Emersons keyboard work is at its brilliant best, and he constantly sparks off Powell, who seems to revel in the space afforded him, wnile Lake's rich vocals are crystal clear and well up in the mix, by turns powerful and gentle. |
 | | But with Palmer leading his own band, Lake holed up in a studio working on another solo album, and Emerson preparing a second piano concerto, its likely that ELP, with or without Palmer, have probably enjoyed their finest, and possibly their final, hour. |
