Composer Edvard Grieg's lyric pieces are very developed and multidimensional in their own right, but as with all classical music, they need a perfect performer who understands both the technical and emotional aspects of the music in order for the piece to be truly effective.

 Emil Brunner --  Encyclopædia Britannica
Ordained in the Swiss Reformed Church, Brunner served as a pastor at Obstalden, Switzerland, from 1916 to 1924.
Between about 1925 and 1955 it was under severe attack by followers of the “kerygmatic” theology of the Word of God (founded by Karl Barth and Emil Brunner) as leading away from the gospel toward a religion based on human culture.
Among defenders of the validity and cognitive import of religious experience, it is necessary to distinguish those who take such experience to be an immediate and self-authenticating encounter with the divine and those who claim that apprehension of the divine is the result of inference from, or interpretation of, religious experience.
