A card-carrying member of the ‘Brat Pack,' Emilio Estevez became one of Hollywood’s most popular, young stars in the go-go ‘80s behind a list of films that are now considered classics in the genre of ensemble drama/comedies defining that decade.
Estevez, who got his initial taste of the acting experience in the early ‘80s on TV shows like To Climb A Mountain and Seventeen Going on Nowhere, segued from the popularity of teen-oriented films into more diverse roles, most notably, Young Guns in 1988.
The action-western cast Estevez along with yet another ensemble of who’s who in young talent, with Lou Diamond Phillips, Kiefer Sutherland, and most notably his younger brother Charlie Sheen, who was also carving out his own place in Hollywood movies.

 Educating Emilio Estevez
Estevez has even taken an active interest in the two children he had out of wedlock with model Carey Salley - and for the first time, he's willing to publicly acknowledge them.
Even at its most cocksure, Estevez's attitude barely hints at the egotistical bombast that accompanied his entrance into the movie business, and part of his current (relative) humility doubtlessly stems from his break with the brats.
While Estevez admits that they still stay in touch, their days of public partying are over - "The stakes have changed," he says dismissively--and the parameters of the friendships have been redefined.
