I suggest that the satellite offices of Emirates (ie South Africa etc) are instructed to be up front with the passengers and let them know of the hotel facility when the connecting flights are longer than a specific number of hours.
Emirates have ruined our CHRISTMAS, our son flew from UK to be with his father and all the family today, I hope that my mother- in -law will take it lightly when we tell her because she isn't all that well at the moment.
The Emirates office in London reconfirmed her return ticket with a wrong timing, which was 12 hours later than when the actual flight took off.
