Emirate Xaaron was one of the leaders of the Autobot resistance on Cybertron while Optimus Prime's Autobots were on Earth.
Emirate Xaaron was introduced in the UK 1986 annual story 'And There Shall Come a Leader'.
In 1988, Xaaron and the Wreckers were captured by Flame, a mad Autobot scientist, once on the Council of Elders, who had discovered Megatron's prototype planetary drive.

As the Matrix Flame on Cybertron flickered and died Emirate Xaaron took the decision to send Ultra Magnus to Earth to investigate, despite the advent of Operation Volcano.
Severe enough in fact for Xaaron to construct a clone of Magnus to take his place as Autobot Earthforce leader – upon the destruction of the clone, the true Ultra Magnus, unexpectantly fully recovered, took charge, leading to his City commander rank from this point up to the death of Optimus Prime in 2005.

Other future projects I have in mind are a custom emirate xaaron from an old perceptor body and a custom rack n ruin from 2 old twin twists.
He had an interesting relationship with xaaron, who he regarded as a 'wily old buzzard' and appeared to have more loyalty to the troops under his command than the autobot cause as a whole.
Impactor yet again sacrifiecd himself to save xaaron (and the whole of cybertron) by entering a reactor chamber in an effort to shut it down before the overload destroyed cybertron.

In his first U.S. appearance, he was concerned with the Autobot Pretender Classics bringing hope to the Autobot resistance and increasing the number of attacks on Decepticon bases.
He sent a team of Decepticon assassins, led by Bludgeon, to crush the Pretenders and the entire resistance cell led by Emirate Xaaron.
The assassin group followed the Autobot Pretender Classics down to the center of Cybertron, where they accidentally woke up the god Primus, causing the events that led to the Matrix Quest.

They took the Decepticon Flywheels prisoner and were attacked by an army of zombies which were being controlled by an insane Autobot scientist called Flame.
He was holding Xaaron and the Wreckers captive in his underground base and planned to 'fulfill his destiny' by activating Megatron's ancient fusion reactor and making Cybertron travel the heavens.
Xaaron warned him it destroy their homeworld and Springer escaped to try and get a warning to the surface, but he was attacked by the zombified Impactor.

Is it simply that the secret to immortality is to grow rusty and bitter on the inside and thus spare the outside, or did you discover the 'fountain of youth' is found in Minicons, and that's why Safeguard is plugged into your arm, uh, veins.
A: It wasn't mere age that caused Xaaron to lose the ability to transform - his main problem was that he hadn't transformed in so long that those joints had seized up and become immoveable.
