I bought the new Yairi MMY1 and I was wondering if anyone knew if emollient conditioners like Dunlop's "Formula number 65" would still be suitable for its textured/stressed cedar top and the satin finish on the rest of the guitar.
Gibson's polish says that it is suitable for all lacquered and polyurethaned finishes, but it contains "emulsifiers" which, I assume, are different from emollients, and Dunlop's polish just says "most finishes".
If anyone from the shop reads this, could you advise on what I should use to preserve the finish on this guitar, as it is quite different from the tops used in other cedar applications.
