At seventy-eight minutes, Emotional Technology gets a bit long in the tooth, but you get the feeling that the myriad streams of sound -- high and low, organic and digital -- that pass between (and through) his ears, have finally nestled together in a grandiose manner he envisioned.
On Emotional Technology, the CD is split into two parts - first half of the CD is where you get the electronic sound with the layers and big beats, on the second half, there's a change in tempo and BT offers a more tranquil, almost worldy ambient feel.
WIth BT's recent contributions on pop records, his own album has also, no doubt, veered towards the sounds of pop but not sacrificing all the elements that brought BT to where he is today.

Emotional Rescue - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Emotional Rescue is an album by The Rolling Stones and was released in 1980.
The album cover, designed by Peter Corriston, features a sombre selection of band photos which had been taken by a thermo camera, a device which measures heat emmissions.
Released in June with the disco-infused hit title track as the lead single, Emotional Rescue was an immediate smash, giving The Rolling Stones their first UK #1 album since 1973's Goats Head Soup and spent seven weeks atop the US charts.

 CD Baby: BARRY: Emotional Progression
The mission of Emotional Progression is to not only recall the golden days of R&B, but to transcend the past and present face of the neo-soul genre.
As a concept, the purpose of Barry Ousley's album is to serve as a beatiful and honest journey through the mind of a young man dealing with love in the new millennium.
This album is the soundtrack to the psyche of a young man that is confused with the elements of life.

This album is definitely appreciable and lovable, and the melodies are consistently mesmerizing, but occasionally the lyrics do venture into cliche territory as the lower reviews indicated.

The album is a quasi-concept piece dealing with the death of the Cavanagh's bros mother.
Judgement is mostly a song based album and is probably their most straighforward arrangement wise, which normally for me (and most of you I presume) would deter me from rating this as their most essential album but believe me this is not the case.

BT - Emotional Technology [Album Review] - Tranceaddict Forums
This album is 'Emotional' and it was very emotional to Brian himself, and so, I'd expect to see some positive comments or non at all (as far as the lyrics are concerned).
I'll agree that the album is very much a spectrum of BT's emotion, and it shows in the amount of time and effort put into it.
I guess I'm a just a bit bitter because I bought a BT album which had the sticker "Featuring (insert pop stars)." BT never in the past had to advertise who he did his music with, and I think the record company is pushing him to.

 Peter Hammill [www.progweed.net]
His highly emotional and overwrought vocals have the capability of expressing all levels of pain, anger, frustration and love, while his expressive and scathing lyrics are among the most poetic and beautiful I have ever heard.
The album as a whole seems to chronicle the disintegration of a particular relationship in which Hammill was involved, and as a result features some of the saddest, most introspective lyrics and music of his career.
There is a brief sidestep from this album concept in the track "Autumn", which doesn't, on the surface, seem to have much to do with the other songs, instead describing the perceptions of an aging couple and their realizations of lost purpose having seen their children grow up and leave home.

When a band is faced with a debut album, rarely is it going to choose a name that hints at death, mourning and finality.
Butler’s voice comes in strongly, but it waivers with emotion, telling the story of a young man who sneaks out of his house to meet with a girlfriend and naively plan their ‘adult’ futures while the young man’s parents weep in their bedroom.
Often times emotional music is looked upon very cynically (emo, anyone?), but the music of the Arcade Fire brings hope for the future of music with emotional weight.

I like this album because just when you feel like you have the sound nailed down it veers off into another direction entirely but without sounding like a disjointed misadventure that was ill-advised from the get-go.
It's an interesting album, and i think that it says something very favorable about the band that they are able to make it work as well as it does.
Stylistically, this album is a big change from their previous installments, yet equally good, if not better.

Now granted, the two albums have a similar sound, rock with some disco leanings, and Some Girls is a much better album than its successor, but ER isn't an album to be totally dismissed because it pales alongside its parent album.
Emotional Rescue has been reviled alongside Black And Blue, Undercover, and It's Only Rock And Roll as one of the Stones' weakest albums, but maybe that's because it is repeatedly compared with Some Girls or Tattoo You, the albums it is chronologically sandwiched inbetween.
This album was originally released on vinyl/LP and cassette in 1980 on the Rolling Stones Records label which is manufactured by Columbia Records/CBS Inc. I purchased the very first release issue of this album on CD and the matrix or ID number is CK 40500.

Despite the darkness of the music, the record is kept from sounding bogged down and funereal due to the beautifully expressive guitar playing and the melodic strength of the band itself.
The album reaches its weak point on "Emotional Winter" which is decent but not particularly memorable other than for it's periodic Floydian guitar riffs.

The worst song on the album, and one of the worst songs I've ever heard, is track six "Say Yes." The song is incredibly boring and has the most uninspiring lyrics.
