		Palpatine was originally an ambitious Senator in the Galactic Senate, when the blockade of his homeworld Naboo by the Trade Federation provided a springboard for him to become Supreme Chancellor and head of state of the Galactic Republic.
		Palpatine did not, and needed not, reveal his identity as a Sith Lord to the Senate or public, for he was the beloved ruler and savior of the galaxy by then.
		Palpatine lost control of the terrifying Force storm he had conjured to destroy the Alliance fleet aboard his flagship Eclipse, and was consumed by its energies along with the Eclipse.

		In one version, we're supposed to think Palpatine controlled her completely and made her do his will without regret or question, and that she was not evil because she never felt hate or something like that.
		In another version, we're supposed to think she was moral and upstanding and sensitive enough to be upset when innocents were killed on her missions.
