		Emporia State University (ESU) is a comprehensive Regents university serving residents of Kansas.
		ESU is located in the city of Emporia (on the Kansas Turnpike), and in Lyon County.
		Originally known as the Emporia Normal School, and then as the Emporia State Teacher's college, the university school of education is still the largest division in the university.
