In the spring of the next year (AD 16) Germanicus went east again, this time embarking his force on ships that sailed down the Rhine and then through the canal that had been engineered by his father Drusus a generation earlier in order to enter on the North Sea.
From there they sailed East to the mouth of the river Ems and proceeded upstream to penetrate German territory.
The Roman victory there marked the nominal submission of all the tribes west of the river Elbe, an important boundary because it was the furthest penetration of his father's incursion in 9 BC.

BOOZE ON THE RIVER became a hot button issue and thanks in part of public interest, Boise got an Attorney General opinion that indicated they could probably enforce city ordinances on a state river.
EMS FUNDING was turned down by voters in May and the Ada County commishes got into trouble meeting in secret with a City Councilor during June to plan a sales pitch for the next election.
KBCI-TV is reporting there are plenty of empty beds at the Boise Rescue Mission which operates shelters for men at 6th and Grove as well as the former Community House on River Street.

They were introduced under numbers and most of them got their names in 1950; names of rivers in a region in Germany called “Bergisches Land”, such as ‘Agger’; ‘Bever’; ‘Bigge’; ‘Diemel’; ‘Eder’; ‘Ennepe’; Glor’; ‘Kerspe’ and many others.
