On the tail of Enduser’s successful releases on Ad Noiseam, and introducing Submerged to the label, “Appropriate and deface” is a meeting of these two icons of the hard drum’n’bass scene, bringing a new face to a massive sound, new clothes to an energetic genre.
Enduser is on everybody’s lips for his efficient combination of d’n’b and breaks and Submerged is known for unleashing monstrous basses through his Ohm Resistance label, the two had never worked together; it had to be corrected, here comes their encounter.
Recently relocated to NYC after having produced in Berlin, Lynn Standafer (Enduser) has generated more than a stir with his chopping up of noisy beats and his take-over on the drum’n’bass scene, in which he marries dark 90’s noise hooks with just the right amount of breaks to fill in the dance floors.

Lynn Standafer is the unassuming, mild-mannered alter-ego of the one-man sonic wrecking crew known as Enduser.
Born as the bastard son of KRS-One, Skinny Puppy, and Photek, and raised on a steady diet of hip-hop and early jungle records, Enduser smashes through genre walls with alternating punches of industrial strength drum and bass and hip-hop flavored breakcore.
Enduser's is not music for the mindless rave zombie, and it is not for the faint of heart as it tears away at preconceptions about break-beat driven music while utilizing the best tricks of that well-tested tradition to excite and entertain.

Bong-Ra and Enduser open the ball with two squashed rave tunes, heavy on drum’n’bass and free parties influence, while Shitmat crushes a megaton of samples and influences before letting the pounding beats and fast tempo break in.
Gathered together, the American Enduser, the British Shitmat and the Dutch Bong-Ra are the three juggernauts of the exploded break, and clearly intend to demonstrate this on their „Monsters of Mashup“.
these three vocalists and their very different styles are all integrated seamlessly into enduser's sounds, and join the remixes by label mates bong-ra and dj hidden on the surprisingly coherent patchwork that is 'pushing back', an album at the perfect meeting point between fury and harmony.

CD Baby: ENDUSER, EDGEY, SUBSEKTOR: Reduced Phat 2%
Enduser brings his road-tested production to the mix with his two splintered originals and remixes for his partners that eviscerate and then reconstruct their grooves with demented jungle abandon.
Enduser, Subsektor and Edgey are the artists spotlighted with two original tracks each and those same two tracks remixed by the other two artists, for a total of 12 solid tracks.
Enduser brings it on with a pop and lock of forcefully elegant bass and rapid beats on "Death Vest" and "Broken Target." Then Subsektor brings it with intense chaos and deliciously abrasive rhythms consumed in ominous textures on "The Breed." Edgey puts it all on the table with schizoid madness on "Brutalities End" and "Indigna".

On this debut Enduser serves up super heavy powerful drill n bass to accompany borrowed vocals ranging from Björk to hip hop.
Juggling with epic ragga anthems and soft female voices, Enduser's “ Run War” is a cohesive patchwork of various atmospheres, all brought together with a raw, and still warm touch.
Tested at numerous shows in his native USA and his new European home, the tracks on this album are the heart of Enduser's repertoire, and Ad Noiseam is proud to be able to finally give them a proper home.

However, when I speak of an EndUser, I usually mean the unwashed masses of computer users out there who wouldn't know a bit from a byte.
By EndUser, I mean those people who use computers, yet don't have the slightest inclination to learn about what the computers they are using (and they don't have to learn a lot...
IMHO, EndUsers should probably not be owning full-fledged computers at all, but should be using embedded devices that cater to very specific needs.

Raised on a steady diet of hip-hop and early jungle records since 1994, Enduser has been shredding through genre tags quicker than they can be coined to describe his unique approach to the twisted world of hardcore broken beat music.
Enduser’s music will always be defined by its use of complex drum programming and darkly distorted atmospheres.

ENDUSER - Pushing Back   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
The work of Lynn Standafer, Pushing Back continues his expedition as Enduser with an album of furious drum’n’bass tracks – now referred to as breakcore.
Sometimes the album does lean towards the repetitive drudgery of the drum’n’bass genre, but at least Standafer tries to mix and match the tonality of his beats so that each track retains a certain uniqueness – even when the musicality has long disappeared.
Enduser’s latest therefore leads the drum’n’bass genre into an appreciative leftfield domain, thankfully resisting the linear approach and with enough muse to attract new listeners.

Defining the Microcomputer as an Enduser Tool   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
Frequently, microcomputer systems are referred to as enduser systems, implying that the entire system is controlled by the user(s) and not by a data-processing staff or other computer professionals.
If the enduser is in charge of the microcomputer, then it can be configured or set up to reflect the needs and preferences of the user.
By relying on the concept of enduser independence to define microcomputers, we also gain a certain degree of independence from the development of technology.

Bollywood Breaks, Lynn Standafer's Enduser homage to the Bhangra music of the Hindi film industry, seductively merges the exotic mystery of India with the ominous thrash of breakcore.
Two genres that might seem incongruous on paper turn out to be an ideal match, though much of the credit for that is attributable to Standafer's deft handling of the merger.
Standafer's Enduser material always impresses (see Run War and Calling the Vultures) and the three tracks here are no exception.

Lynn Standafer, the man behind the tables under the guise of Enduser, is a skilled practitioner in the art of hard-edged jungle (drill’n’bass or breakcore if you like).
For a newcomer to Enduser, this CD took a little while to grow on me. The abrasive cut up digital noise beats used on almost every track, while interesting at times, tended to get a bit old after awhile.

PostEverything : 'Comparing Paths' by Enduser [Very Friendly] : Buy Here
As if hurled from the flame-licked mouth of an infernal deity, Enduser comes at your ears with ferocity unmatched in the breakcore world.
Featuring overtones of drum'n'bass' forerunners - true jungle, dancehall and ragga - to throw down the gauntlet for anyone hard enough to pick it up and toss it on the wheels of steel, it all comes together to make Comparing Paths one of 2005's most challenging break-based records.
Born as the bastard son of KRS-ONE, Skinny Puppy and Photek, raised on a steady diet of hip-hop and early jungle records, Enduser smashes through genre walls with alternating punches of industrial strength drum'n'bass and hip-hop flavoured breakcore.

On Calling the Vultures, Lynn Standafer (aka Enduser) perpetuates his personal crusade flatten countrysides with a lethal mix of breakcore, hip-hop, jungle, and drum'n'bass.
With the somber punch of “Rights of Passage” boosted considerably by a fine MC turn by equivalANT, Standafer shows himself a deft hip-hop practitioner.
Unfortunately, Standafer indulges his Photek jones a little too much by plundering his sound to excess on the overly-derivative “How Can You Tell I'm Not There” and “Indicision.” Even so, Calling the Vultures holds up as a solid addition to the Enduser canon, and one that shows Standafer as comfortable with breakcore as hip-hop.

Enduser is a breakcore artist by dint of association, but he's also released records on mainstream drum'n'bass don Dylan's Outbreak label.
Dylan, and by extension Enduser, falls into the "beat that shit with a spike fuckin bat" school of jungle.
And sure enough, there's plenty of spork-in-yr-earhole bass (some enterprising bedroom DJ should see about mashing up "Dubplate #12" with Lil Jon's "What U Gon' Do") and bronco rides across overmodulated snares of death.

 ENDUSER, Comparing Paths
Tightrope walking over breakz, drum and bass, ragga and breakcore, Enduser is a jack of all trades who can thankfully cope with the potentially hazardous juggling act handling all these disperate genres at once could bring.
A bit of a calm before the storm situation, 'Comparing Paths' then flows into the dot-matrix beats and subterranean bass of the ragga heavy 'F*ck up the System' that, although forcibly invading your body space, for some reason doesn't feel over-imposing.
Enduser's junglist heritage is most pronounced on 'Tripset' and 'The Return', the obligatory Scott Herron reference comes on the shattered rhythms and EFX heavy vocals of 'Gun Temper' whilst 'Slammed in the Face...' does very much what it says on the tin; hard, fast and high-speed dubbed.

Is Mozilla.org Bleeding Away Potential Users?
The percent of visits started at enduser pages is the sum of the percents of both the mozilla.org and mozilla.org/products/firefox/, as linked to in the webalizer stats.
Asa Dotzler wrote in his blog on October 10 that the "percentage of downloads coming from IE users is currently about 50%." Using the timespan of 32 days after the initial release of Firefox PR, the total number of downloads of Firefox PR was 5 million, or an average of about 156,000 downloads a day.
The problem is coupled in that while the content aims to be enduser, it's actually too technical and needlessly verbose at times ("To download Firefox, go to getfirefox.com" - they're already at the download page!), showing that while the writers are trying hard, nerdy developer talk still is the lingua franca of the website.
