UPT - Traction - Trackside Power Management Solutions
The UPT Trackside Energy Management System has been specifically configured to help resolve these issues and is suitable for deployment on Light and Heavy Rail, Tram and Trolley Bus systems.
The modular nature and compact design of the UPT Trackside Energy Management System offers a flexible alternative solution to these issues.
Although energy consumption patterns are complex and demanding, using system modelling, it is possible to evaluate and predict the impact of the UPT Trackside Energy Management System on energy flows and voltage variations within a system, over a given period.

Environment Leaders' Summit of the Eight Miami, Florida, May 5-6, 1997
The Environment Leaders stressed the overwhelming scientific evidence that links the build-up of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere to changes in the global climate system, and the likelihood that these climate changes will lead to unacceptable impacts on human health and the environment in all nations.
As part of this effort, they stressed that there is a need for continued integration of environmental, economic, and social issues, rapid progress in the eradication of poverty, and recognition that good governance, protection of human rights, and democracy are essential elements of sustainable development.
Energy: The Special Session should initiate a process coordinated in the CSD for promoting sustainable energy use, focusing on energy efficiency and the use of renewables, while addressing the needs of people without access to energy services.

 Earth and its Electromagnetic Environment
When this energy from the sun arrives at Earth as 'solar wind' it interacts with our planetary magnetic field and our atmosphere to create a magnetically confined plasma which partially shields the fragile life on Earth surface from the harsh electromagnetic environment in space.
Our sun's electromagnetic environment fluctuates constantly in cycles of 27 days, 11 years, and 22 years, along with abrupt and unpredictable disturbances including solar flares, magnetic storms, and Coronal Mass Ejections, all of which lash at the Earth.
It's a rough environment 'out there!' We are now in Solar Cycle 23 which began in May 1996, is at its peak 1999 thru 2002, and is expected to end sometime around 2007.
