English Classical Players - UK Chamber Orchestra
A group of some of London's finest musicians, it has become one of the leading chamber orchestras and toured widely, thrilling audiences with the special combination of inspiration and virtuosity which is the feature of all their performances.
The orchestra produces an authentic and exciting sound by maintaining a string strength akin to that of the early 19th century orchestras and adopting a traditional seating arrangement; this enhances the orchestral balance and gives clarity and brilliance to the texture.
Specialising in the music of the classical period, the orchestra has been featured on BBC Radio 3 and is often heard on Classic FM under its regular conductor Jonathan Brett and leader Alison Kelly.
