		ENPs will not finish all of their projects, and this should be understood, but the ENP should be encouraged to complete some projects all the way through to the end.
		ENPs believe that surely things could be worked out in any situation so that the ENP gets want they want, and consequently they have a really hard time accepting that they're not going to get their way.

		The author states that ‘almost all ENPs are permitted to assess and treat children despite the fact that only 30 departments employ registered children's nurses in this role.’ Given their professional accountability, ENPs would not manage the care of children merely because they have been ‘permitted’ to do so.
		As a practising ENP who manages the care of children I do not believe I provide second rate care because I do not hold a children's nursing qualification.
		It would be entirely unrealistic to expect all ENPs managing the care of children to hold a children's nursing qualification: service provision would grind to a halt overnight.
