During the making of Enter The Dragon it is said that Bob Wall never quite got along with Bruce Lee and at the fight on the parade ground (where Oharra smashes the bottles) the attack at Lee was more then just a managed fight.
Rush Hour 2 seems to reference Enter The Dragon during the scene where Chris Tucker's character is in the massage parlour and he begins selecting the women he'd like to be massaged by.

The best way to describe "Enter The Dragon" to someone who hasn’t watched the movie before is that it is a James Bond-like action film, with the main star’s athletic body acting in place of the secret agent’s omnipotent gizmos.
This also explains the film’s somewhat cryptic title "Enter The Dragon", which needs to be read down the lines of "Here comes the Dragon", as the film was supposed to raise Bruce Lee’s awareness in Western countries.
Despite its size and its sheer strength, the dragon is extremely graceful and uses its age-old knowledge to solve problems for the good of the many, relying on its untamable powers only as a last resort.

Sure enough, Enter the Dragon brings the audience a different Bruce Lee that on Lee's previous outings; this time round Lee is a man of impeccable dress sense, he is always calm and in control, he is highly intellectual, he never raises his voice, he is well educated and cultured.
Of course, whether or not Enter the Dragon is Bruce Lee's greatest film in terms of martial arts action is another issue altogether and one that is probably best left to the martial arts community.

It's not that movie heroes haven't confronted challenges before reaching their goals before; it's the way the narrative is articulated that seems so uncanny, and the reason is that Lee was also patterning the sequential challenge after the philosophical steps required for enlightenment.
It probably wouldn't have been a film that audiences could have embraced with the widespread enthusiasm that they greeted "Enter the Dragon," but it is clearly a partially filled in rough sketch of a true work of art.
