Eos rose up into the sky from the river Okeanos at the start of each day, and with her rays of light dispersed the mists of night.
Eos had an unquenchable desire for handsome young men, some say as the result of a curse laid upon her by the goddess Aphrodite.

 Eos family
A family of asteroids, first detected by the Japanese astronomer Kiyotsugu Hirayama (1874-1943) in 1918, that moves in the outer asteroid belt at a mean distance of 3.02 AU from the Sun.
Most Eos asteroids appear to belong class C (carbonaceous) or S (silicaceous); spectral studies have linked some Eos family members specifically with carbonaceous chondrites of the CO and CV type, while others have yet to be matched with known meteorite counterparts.
This compositional variation suggests that the Eos parent body was partially differentiated.

Life with Canon EOS 10D   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-07)
For family pictures, film-based EOS was doing more than adequate job (for some people point-and-shoot works here, but I was always not satisfied with response and quality one gets from point-and-shoot...).
Even for family pictures I prefer taking a lot of shots and then selecting few frames for the family album or to be given to friends/family.
If you planning to use this lens for family shots, please be aware that - because of its size - the lens vignettes the built-in flash at focal lengths smaller than 28mm when used without the lens shade, and always if used with the lens shade.

 EOS - Arciero Family Vineyards
Success for the Arciero family has been one of those great "rags to riches" stories with a lot of hard work and determination between the hard times and the good times.
Their father, Giovanni, had come to the U.S.A. in 1914, but the family remained in Saint Elia Fiumerapido, 129 kilometers south of Rome, until the father was able to relocate them to America: the oldest brother Mike in 1937, Frank and Phil in 1939, the youngest brother Anthony and mother Cristina in 1948.
The Arciero family has, for generations, always had close ties to the land...pressing olives for oil and grapes for wine in their native Italy.

Canon EOS flash system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
These technologies involve both the EOS camera bodies and the flash units themselves, which are sold under the trade name of Speedlite (confusingly similar to Nikon Corporation's "Speedlight" brand for their flashes).
The EOS flash system is capable of wireless multiple flash control, whereby a master flash unit or IR transmitter mounted on the camera body can control up to 3 groups of flash units through infrared (IR) signals.
A-TTL, first seen on the T90 (which predates the EOS family), is a flash exposure system that adds a brief preflash during exposure metering when the camera is in the programmed exposure (P) mode.

Canon EOS 5D Reviews. Digital cameras Reviews by CNET.
Overall, we found the EOS 5D's AF performance to be midlevel: generally quick and quite capable for the vast majority of tasks but still no match for the top-line pro photojournalism cameras when shooting fast action.
The Canon EOS 5D's synchronization speed with shoe-mount flashes is 1/200 second, although the FP-sync mode allows certain Canon flashes to sync up to 1/8,000 second with some significant limitations.
We found the Canon EOS 5D's default Picture Style, Standard, to be overly contrasty and saturated, and in fact, we didn't love the default color from any of the built-in Picture Styles.

The EOS D30 eliminates the traditional concept of switching between the shooting and viewing modes, which is normal on digital cameras.
Since the EOS D30 employs the fully electronic EF mount system of other EOS series cameras, all of the more than 50 EF lenses, ranging from the 14 mm super-wide lens to the 1200mm telephoto lens can be used.
EOS D30 employs the same type of shutter unit as that of EOS IX E. The shutter unit is electronically controlled and the speed range is 1/4000 to 30 seconds.

Although the 380EX has been replaced by the 420EX, either one will work. Here's how I'd do it: Using the 28-80 at around 60~75ish depending on the number of family members.
Don't do's: -use 28mm because it's too wide for family portraits -100 or above because your images appear too flat and your subjects are too far away.
