There is also a very low level of destruction in the Bosanski Dabar eparchy (including Sarajevo), which is due in part to the rapidity with which much of the eastern area was secured by the BSA, and to the smaller Serbian population in the western part of the eparchy (central Bosnia).

He says, for AIM, that 438 Orthodox religious edifices were destroyed or damaged in the war in Croatia and B&H. Of that 154 churches have been completely demolished, and 175 have been greatly damaged by shelling or explosives.
He draws attention to the Eparchy of Zvornik - Tuzla, in which Moslem or Croat armed formations destroyed 32 churches and damaged 26 to a large extent.
This fate befell the Orthodox Church in Derventa on Ascension Day, and the building of the Eparchy of Gornji Karlovac with its invaluable religious and historic riches on Christmas, December 25, 1993.

According to data received from the Serbian Orthodox Church, the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina and earlier in Croatia resulted in the destruction of 79 churches, 88 were damaged or demolished, two monasteries were demolished and two damaged, as were a large number of archives, libraries, museums and residential buildings.
Twenty one churches were destroyed in the Zvornik-Tuzla Eparchy alone, while six were damaged.
Churches were destroyed indiscriminately - those from the 18th century along with others which had yet to be consecrated.

In September, 1941, Serbian guerrillas engaged in sabotage actions that focused on disrupting railroad traffic west of Zvornik and on the Tuzla-Doboj road.
The commander of the Black Legion units in Srebrenica was a Bosnian Muslim with the surname of “Arpadzic”, who had been the tax collector in Srebrenica before the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia.
A Bosnian Muslim thus led this genocide of the Serbian population of Srebrenica as the commander of Black Legion units based in Zvornik.

 SFOR Stabilisation Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Media Summary
The parents of Croat pupisl in the primary school in Novi Seher have sent a letter to Cardinal Puljic to inform him about the difficult position of Croats in this region and about systematic violations of their human rights.
They claim that not only the local authorities in this region, but also OSCE officials in Zenica and Tuzla are violating their rights by denying their children the right to attend school where the Croat curriculum is taught.
They informed Cardinal Puljic that their children and most of their teachers had moved to a primary school in Ozimice, some 5 km from Novi Seher.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's supreme religious leader, said two weeks ago that Iran was prepared to send "volunteers" to fight alongside Bosnian Muslims.
Reverend Vasilije, Bishop of the Zvornik-Tuzla eparchy [Eastern Bosnia], informed the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church that 30 orthodox temples in his eparchy were razed to the ground, two of them only recently completed and not yet consecrated.
14 parochial homes have been levelled and 6 damaged, reports the Bishop of the Zvornik- Tuzla Eparchy, adding that both Orthodox temples in Tuzla have been damaged, as well as the episcopal seat which was also looted on two occasions, while the central church community building was shelled.

Based on IX SS Corps KTB entries for August 20-27, 1944, the Partisan 27th East Bosnia Division was deployed to the area northwest of Srebrenica and moved into the Bratunac region to engage elements of the Handzar Division.
