  Nyboria: Ephemerides (KULT)
Ephemerides called for Jesus' death; ephemerides burned Joan of Arc and condemned Galilei; and when the Demiurge left and the Illusion began to crumble, ephemerides multiplied like cockroaches and swamped the world.
The ephemerides are not meant to be primary antagonists; they are a concept which is designed to explain the largely ignorant masses in a reality which breaks down visibly.
On the other hand, ephemerides have a knack of not being there when the strain on the Illusion becomes too much; and ephemerides are masters of rationalization who will find a natural explanation, possible or no, for anything that does not fit their Illusion-based template of reality.

  Ephemerides of the Largest Asteroids
Initial ephemerides were constructed and the difference between the a priori error and the actual root-mean-square error for each logical group was examined to determine the adjustment in the error.
Iterating with a new ephemerides calculated using the new root-mean-square errors was possible, but in all cases a single iteration was sufficient to determine the root-mean-square error of the observations.
The planetary model used to determine the ephemerides of the asteroids is the JPL ephemeris DE405.

C source code for JPL DE ephemerides
Those looking for more information as to the inner workings of DE ephemerides, as well as how to convert their raw output into useful positions, may be interested in the book Fundamental Ephemeris Computations, by Paul J. Heafner, published by Willmann-Bell.
The full ephemerides tend to be large (DE-406 runs to about 200 MBytes), but as you'll see, "subset" ephemerides are available covering shorter spans.
That is, one might use the code to open up a DE ephemeris (of any of the three flavors), and ask that a smaller ephemeris covering a particular time span be written out, in any of the three flavors.

 Astrology Books: Ephemerides
The first printed ephemerides date from about 1600 and were a controversial innovation.
All modern ephemerides (and tables of houses, too) are computer generated and extremely accurate.
As I've mentioned elsewhere, I do not think ephemerides that project so far into the future are good buys, but I am happy to offer this for those of you who need these advance dates.
