	Epic Armageddon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Epic Armageddon (the latest in Epic series of games) is a tabletop war game made by Games Workshop.
		Epic is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe however where Warhammer 40,000 involves small battles between forces of a few squads of troops and two or three vehicles, Epic shows huge wars between massive armies of many dozens of tanks and hundreds of soldiers.
		The scale of Epic is far smaller than in Warhammer 40,000 with a squad of soldiers (3 to 7 figures) in Epic being on a base smaller than one which a single soldier occupies in Warhammer 40,000.

		Epic rewards tactics and objective oriented thinking, rather than rewarding cutthroat competitive lists, so you should try and construct your Space Marine army to aid you in those two tasks.
		In 40K they were just annoyances, but in Epic you can take the formation of 4 whirlwinds, stick them behind a building or hill, and just lob missiles 90cm around the table onto enemy formations.
		Epic requires an army to do lots of things - Take/hold objectives, take/hold territory, kill other units, defend friendly units, and readjust to changing battlefield conditions.

		Spectacular and epic, "Armageddon" is $140 million worth of gee whiz and knuckle gripping suspense, but is also long in the tooth and subjects the heroes to more close calls than Charles Nelson Reilly in today's Army.
		"Armageddon" is also pretty silly when you think about it, and that's where you're bound to get in trouble.
		Regardless of the flaws, "Armageddon" manages to be a lot of fun, and the special effects are indeed special.

		Granted they are trying to depart from the epic 40k ways of doing things, but it remains to be seen if those changes are enough to bring back the many who dumped epic after epic 40k was released.

		You can imagine then the reaction when Jervis pointed out that eventually the production of plastic infantry and vehicles for Epic would eventually cease and be replaced with newer models cast in metal for Epic Armageddon.
		It is going to be at least a year before Epic Armageddon is released, and we are currently still check that it is even feasible to make Epic scale infantry in metal.
		So there you have it, the future of the Epic infantry looks quite healthy in my opinion and I have to agree, I never thought I'd say it but Jervis is right; I really didn't miss having to clip them off the frames and stick them to their base.
