At first there were talks of the Government of Central Equatoria moving to Yei and develop it as her Regional capital, but then this was objected to by some members of Central Equatoria State who insisted on sharing Juba with the Government of South Sudan.
When the reallocation of the capital of Central Equatoria Region became an issue and the GoSS could not have a piece of land that it could develop for the people of South Sudan as a whole and could only depend on the Government of Central Equatoria for land allocation, the idea of Ramciel was renewed.
It is the responsibility of Central Equatoria State to assume the responsibility of the property and the land.

Eastern Equatoria Eastern Equatoria has in the recent past witnessed a lot of movement of people, both into and within Eastern Equatoria, mainly as a result of LRA insurgency in Eastern Equatoria and northern Uganda throughout 2003 and 2004.
Due to the prolonged conflict in Eastern Equatoria, as in some parts of the Sudan, the host communities themselves have very little food and other life sustaining resources that they are able to share and assist with the returnees.
These locations are spread across the 4 Counties of Eastern Equatoria, namely: Pageri and Parajok in Magwi County, Ikotos and Lohutok in Torit County, Narus in Kapoeta County Chukudum in Budi County The specific locations are considered the main centres of the counties, therefore where people will be received before going on to their villages.

The authors of this document is among citizens of Western Equatoria State who voluntarily decided to respond to the ill-advised decision given to President Kiir to impose a Governor in WES whose political legacy in Southern Sudan is one of human rights abuses, corruption, rape and brutality.
It is worth mentioning that as a result of the President’s decision to unjustly arrest the former Governor of Western Equatoria State and his pregnant wife subjecting them to inhuman mistreatment, which resulted in the former governor’s wife having a miscarriage, and lost a baby.
The people of Western Equatoria expected Governor Abu-John to bring the culprits of this serious crime to book at least for the sake of justice peace and harmony, but nothing was done, therefore prompting tension and counter-attacks with further loss of lives and anti-Dinka sentiments.

 Sudan/Kenya: Influx of wounded from Equatoria
Renewed fighting in the southern Sudanese region of Eastern Equatoria has resulted in a sharp increase in the number of patients being admitted to ICRC-supported medical facilities in the area.
On 2 October, the ICRC flew 33 wound victims to its surgical hospital in Lokichokio, in northern Kenya, and is now organizing a further evacuation.
In the first two weeks of October alone, 100 new patients were treated there, most arriving from Equatoria.

The Equatoria Region is situated in the south of Sudan bordering Kenya, Uganda, Zaire and the Central African Republic.
An East Coast fever (ECF) outbreak was reported in 1950 by Hoogstraal in Kajo Kaji and Yei districts in the Equatoria Region (Hoogstraal, 1956).
Julla (1985) reported a typical outbreak of ECF at Palotaka in the Eastern Bank of the Equatoria Region in 1984, and in 1985 outbreaks of ECF occurred in Nimule and Juba townships.

The Mundari country borders Bor district in Upper Nile Province to the north, Yirol (Jieng-Aliab) district in Lakes Province to the northwest, Juba district to the south, Rokon district in Eastern Equatoria Province to the southwest, and Mundri district in Western Equatoria to the west, and Torit district to the east.
The Mundari tribe is one of the seven Bari-speaking tribes of central Equatoria.
The mutiny by the Equatoria Corps in Torit, which sparked the longest civil war ever fought in history, erupted in August 1955, three months after Daniel's consecration.

The seasonal forecast is made by establishing probability distributions which indicate the likelihood of rainfall levels falling within the category of above-normal (the wettest third of recorded rainfall amounts), near-normal (middle third, centered around the climatological median) and below-normal (the driest third of recorded rainfall amounts).
During the planting period (March to May), monitoring of the rainfall will be a priority and staggering of planting would be advisable, to ensure seed availability in the event that episodes of dry spells occur, as has been the case in the previous years.
However, land preparation is on-going in a number of areas in the Equatoria Region and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) notes that dry-planting of millet and long-term sorghum has been undertaken in parts of Ikotos, Nimule and Labone in Eastern Equatoria Region.

Juba (27 July) - The state constitution of Central Equatoria is withheld from ratification by the Government of Southern Sudan in an ensuing legal battle over the location of the capital.
The Central Equatoria Interim Legislative Assembly Business Committee in it’s meeting on 24 June discussed the issue of the transfer of the state capital of Juba to another location.
Wani added that the constitution of the Central Equatoria State is held hostage by the Government of the Southern Sudan because the Government of the Central Equatoria has refused to relocate it headquarters to another town.

The Government of the Sudan lifted the temporary ban it imposed on the humanitarian flights to Eastern and Western Equatoria States in Southern Sudan.
The temporary ban was necessary to ensure the safety of the aid workers after the military offensive launched by the rebels against the town of Torit that caused thousands of casualties and displacements.
The Government of the Sudan reiterates its commitment to facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid to all civilians wherever they are in accordance with the agreements and the principles of Operation Lifeline Sudan (OLS).
